The High Commissioner’s cable, dated 17th inst., reads Manila market dull during this week, but closed steadier. “J” grade, October-Deeember shipments quoted at £4l 10/-, buyers. New Zealand market quiet, but firm; high points October-Deeember shipments sold at £39, fair £3O. Stocks in Great Britain on 30th September, 135 tons, against 16 tons at same time last year.
