THE HEMP MARKET
HIGH COMMISSIONER'S
REPORT,
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 10th inst., reads: Hemp, Manila market firmer with “J” grade, Oetober-December shipments quoted at £42 10s to £43. Output from Ist January to 30th September 905,000 bales as against 1,149,000 for the same period last year. Stocks Manila on 30th September, 157,000 as against 121,000. Great Britain 36,000 as against 6106. Better enquiry for New Zealand high points. Scarce business has been done with high points at £39 10s, fair £35 10s.
