WANGANUI PRESBYTERY

MEETING AT MALTON. The Presbytery of Wanganui met on Tuesday at Marion, the Moderator, Rev. .J. H, Bredin, presiding over a large attendance of members. A welcome was extended Rev. G. F. Cox, who was recently inducted to the charge of St. David’s Wanganui, and Rev. R. Inglis, M.A., of Wellington Presbytery. Reporting on a visitation to Foxton, Rev. T. Miller said that it was

Rev. F. McDonald, in reporting ■in a visitation to St. Andrew's Palmerston North, said that marked increases in finances had been shown during the past three years. The buildings and equipment were in a thorough state of repair and, despite the amounts spent on repairs and equipment the total indebtedness was only a little in excess of £2OOO. It was gratifying also that the bulk of the finance was raised by direct: giving. The youth work was in a healthy condition and the work of the minister was telling into the life of the people.
