Mr. P. L. Ilollings addressed the electors of: Shannon on Thursday night when there was an attendance of about 20 (says the Shannon correspondent to the M.D. Times). Mr. Ilollings, in opening, said he came amongst them tested and tried. He had nothing to gain, but an axe to grind. Asked if he was a. financial member of Foxton Labour Party he said yes —he believed in their ideals, but not their methods. A vote of thanks was accorded the candidate.
