The men are trapped about 30ft. in from the surge chamber. Communication has been established by a pipe driven through the fall. A gang is now engaged putting through a small drive to release the men. Later. The names of the five men have been continued. Macdonald is single; Mncfnrlano, married, with two children; Green, married, with seven children; Daly, married; Aiclier, unknown; .J .Shaw, J. Maher. The two other men on the shift were out of the danger zone when the timbering gave way, and tons of earth fell from the roof.
