LONDON WOOL MARKET. The Department of Agriculture lias received the following cablegram dated the 16th instant from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — “Wool. Sales opened yesterday with large attendance and active demand particularly from, the Continent. Compared with closing rates last series fine merino par to 5 per cent, dearer; tine crossbred about par; medium crossbred and coarse crossbred par to 5 per cent, dearer Total offering 225,000 bales of which 89,000 were Australian, 99,000 New Zealand and 26,000 South America.
