S.M. COURT
MONTHLY SITTING. The monthly sitting of the local S. Court was held in the Courthouse yesterday, before Mr. J. L. Stout S.M. Arthur Charles, charged with being illegally on the licensed premises of the Family Hotel on August 10th was fined £2 with costs 7/-. A prohibition order was taken out. against Peter Peterson, on the application of the Police. W. 11. Smith, Tor allowing stock tn wander on the road at Monton was fined £1 with costs £1 0s fid. CIVIL CASES. Judgement was given for plaintiff by defendant, in the following civil undefended cases: — V. McDowell (Mr. Bcrgin), v. James Higgins, claim £2 4s Od, costs 18/C; Manawatu Herald v. T. Procter, £2 8s Od, costs £1 3s fid; Barr and Tyer v. T. Proctor, £1 ,12s fid, costs 8/-.
