MONTHLY SITTING. The monthly sitting of the local S. Court was held in the Courthouse yesterday, before Mr. J. L. Stout S.M. A prohibition order was taken out. against Peter Peterson, on the application of the Police. W. 11. Smith, Tor allowing stock tn wander on the road at Monton was fined £1 with costs £1 0s fid. CIVIL CASES. Judgement was given for plaintiff by defendant, in the following civil undefended cases: — V. McDowell (Mr. Bcrgin), v. James Higgins, claim £2 4s Od, costs 18/C; Manawatu Herald v. T. Procter, £2 8s Od, costs £1 3s fid; Barr and Tyer v. T. Proctor, £1 ,12s fid, costs 8/-.
