MANAWATU BOWLING CENTRE
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual molding of the Mannwatu Bowling Centre was hold in the Rosy hall, Palmerston North, yesterday, when the retiring vice-president,-MV. IT. P. Horne, presided over a good attendance. The following delegates were notified: Dannevirke: Messrs J. A. Nash and C. D. Fraser; Pahintua: X. 11. Nash and (f. IT. Trott; Woodville: G. Waidrop, 11. P. Horne; Ekelahuna: A. F. Wimsett; Feilding: G mid .J. Bartholomew, and J. Ilerdman; Levin: G. 11. Stephenson; Shannon: E. Spencer; Manawatu: (t. Corbridge and W. Hunter; Northern: L. R. Bryant and W. N. Tapp; Palmerston North: F. Need-' Imm and W. J. B. Jolly; Terrace End: J. Davidson and E. W. Carter: Foxton: W. Nye; Takaro; A. W. Gallichiui.
Tn moving the adoption of the annual report, and balance-sheet (previously published), the chairman staled that the tinancial position of the Centre was very satisfactory, there being a credit balance of £73 11s 2d. The membership was 668. —The report was adopted.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President: Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P.,; vice-presidents. Messrs. J. Davidson and G. Wardrop; secretary: Mr. A. F. Yvimset.t. GENERAL. On the motion of Mr. Corbridge, seconded by Mr. Nye, it was decided to hold meetings on the first Friday of every second month at 2 p.m.
The chairman suggested that the Dixon Cup and Tucker Badges be utilised for competition between the various centres and he considered that, a committee he formed to go into the matter and he accordingly moved that (lie question he discussed. —The motion was carried. 'flic secretary, was instructed to write to Lhe various clubs pointing out that the annual meeting of the Centre would be held in July next, and requesting them to forward nominations before July 7th.
It was decided that every delecale have the [lower to vote on matters pertaining to the work oL the Centre discussed between the annual meetings.
It was decided to hold the first .■mbi dav on the last Wednesday ot XuvembeiyU Woodville and that the Palmerston North Clubs be asked tu send rinks to meet Woodville, Dannevirke and Pahintua rinks. It possible, it was decided to also hold a gala dav at Foxton at the same
