HOTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

The committee meeting of the Foxton Horticultural Society was heid last evening. Present: Mr. D. Christie (president), Mesdames Barr, McMurray, P. Easton, Baker, Proctor, Heasinen, Healey, Murphy, Misses Speirs, Moors, and Mrs Moore (secretary), Messrs Murphy, Nye, Poole, J. Ross, Tyer, Perreau and the Rev. Walton.

The following were appointed stewards for the forthcoming show: Sections A. B: Mrs E. Healey and Miss Gower; section C: Misses Neyion and Hughes; D: Messrs. Easton and Mason; E: Air. Alurphy; F: Alesdames Baker and Ileasman; G and H: Air I). Whibley; I: Mrs Downes and Aliss Teryman; J. and K: Airs Trueman and Aliss Ritchie; vase steward: Airs T. East; cake Stall: Mrs J. Ross.

It was decided that the time for receiving entries be 2 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. the day before the show, and late entries till 9.30 on the morning of the show. The Foxton band is to be asked to contribute a musical programme. Air A. E. Whitehead regretted that he would be unable to judge the cookery class, and Air. Alurphy is to arrange for this official.

The following were chosen to arrange the stands: Alessrs. John Ross, Poole, Alurphy, Tyer, Alason, Christie, Nye, J. Ross and the Rev. Will ton. The Alayor will open the show at 3 o’clock.
