FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD.
A special meeting of the Foxton Harbour Board was held at the Reach yesterday. Present: —The Chairman (.). Lmklater, Esq.), and Messrs W. E. Barber, Mortensen and J. Chrystnll.
]| was decided that Mr Lockwood’s offer to the Board to give a free trial of ilio drag- scoop in the river on three tides be accepted, (he Pilot to take soundings before and after the operation. That a strip of approximately 12 chains and approximately 15 acres of accretion land facing north lie held by the Board as a permanent reserve, and that the balance <>t the frontage, approximately 10 chains, be surveyed into building sections opposite the swings ai the Beach.
