HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The High Commissioner's cable, dated the 22nd. inst., reads: Hemp, Manila markets quiet but steady. •M'' grade, August-October shipments sold for £43 10/- pei ton; Oetober-Deeember shipments £44. Closing value AugustOctober shipments £43. New Zealand market quiet- with small business reported early this week in highpoints £3B 10/-, fan - £35, but at the close further sellers for highpoints £3B and fair £35 per ton; August-October shipments and Sept ember-November shipments value, common £3l 10/- rejected £2O 10/-~ Stocks of Manila in Great Britain on 31st July 27820 bales as against 5086 same time last year. New Zealand 136 tons against 34.
