FAILING TO DESTROY RABBITS.

£5 FINE INFLICTED. At the loe-al S.M. Court' yesterday, before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., the adjourned case in which the Manawatu Rabbit Board (Mr. Maekay) proceeded against P. E. Baldwin for failing to destroy rabbits on his property within the Board area was dealt with. Evidence for the Board as to the condition of defendant's lanel was given by Mr. 1). R. Barron (Board Inspector) anil Mr Sutherland, Inspector for the Rangiotu Rabbit Board. MY. P. E. Baldwin, who conducleel his own ease, gave evidence as to the work clone on the property. After the hearing of lengthy evidence the S.M. said that some work had evidently been done by defendant but lie was late with all his poisonings. Concerted poisonings were necessary to produce the best results and in the circumstances a tine of £5 with costs £3 19s fid., was indicted.
