Some months ago Air. F. Armstrong, of the Akitio station, presented ten Hud Aberdicen Angus heifers and one bull of tlie purest blued I" (he (lovernmeiil as a foundation of a stud herd of this breed of cattle. As the activities of C.iveriiment farms, as far as (tattle are concerned are devoted mainly to the breeding of milking sjrains it appeared later to Mr. Armstrong that greater benefit could he secured !<> I lie Dominion iiv handing the cattle over to the iruslees of the Shipowners' Fund for Mock House station, where a herd of A herdi en Angus is already • sluhli-dicd.
The Minister of Agriculture (the lion. W. Noswortliy) approved of iha transfer and last Week the cat tie wen- sent R> Flock House from llu* Central Development Farm at Weraroa.
Mi. Armstrong's sole d, sire is Iha I Die gilj may lie of service to ibe Dominion.
