.JUNE WORKING
The amount of gas manufactured during the mon'h of Juno was 413,40(H'1., which with Lhe amount in the holder on June Isr. 12,800 ft. made a. total of 420,200 ft. During the month 349,500 ft. were used by consumers. 20,000 ft. at the works and jhct'o were 13,20011. left- in the luthier on July Ist, making a total of 385,700 ft.. and leaving 37.500 ft., equalling 8.7 per cent, unaccounted for. Thirty-eight tons of coal were carbonized during the month producing 10,878 ft. of gas to the ton. Nine tons 8 o.wt. of coke were produced. Receipts for the month totalled £2OB 5s 3d and were made up as follows:—Gas sales (lighting) £SO 2s 2d, heat power £lO6 12s 4d, coke sales £lO Is sd, tar sales £3O 5s Od, fittings £3 9s 9d, miscellaneous £1 14s 7d. Expenditure for the month totalled £245 19s 3d and was made up as under:—Coal £lO5 2s Od, salaries and wages £4O 15s lOd, fittings £l4 18s Od, engine repair and oil 7/0, repairs £5 7s Od, cartage and freight £3 0s 3d, Power Board 10s: Interest and Sinking Fund £59 Us Bd. GAS MANAGER’S REPORT.
“The apparatus is in fairly good order and working quite satisfactorily. The stoker, Mr. Mac Lean resumed his duties on the '2nd, and seems quite fit again. During the month one cooker and one caliphonl was put in. Also a good many more of the street lamp standards have keen removed and a good deal oi outside work done for consumers. The reports were adpoted.
