FURTHER RESOLUTIONS CARRIED.

The following relating to Silver Band matters has been handed to ns for publication by Air J. Golder : Copy of resolution passed at. a meeting of musicians of the Foxtun Silver Band Incorporated, on Thursday July 30th 1925. Proposed John Colder (Bandmaster) ;seeonded Joseph Hofmann. “That, owing to the filthy language and mob rule of some of the bandsmen in obstructing the lawful holding, in the practice room, of the meeting of hona fide members to consider the explanation of members absenting themselves from practices, as set out in the Chairman’s advertised summoned notice. That we have no alternative hut to at once consider as dismissed, the whole of the members who have missed six consecutive practices in accordance with rule 7 of the societies registered rules. That a solicitor lie appointed to the hand; tlint lie notify the absentees of ibis decision, and that lie call in all outstanding property of the society within seven days, for the purpose of effecting a registered titled deed of the property, drawn out. in the name of the society; and to have the property insured and entered in an approved register, drawn up by the solicitor. That the band begin at once to rebuild up its instrumentation, and that we hold a meeting on Thursday evening August fitii, 1925, after a short practice to consider the resolution moved by myself, (Air. John Golder) on Tuesday July 21st 1925, in respect. to the present registered society becoming affiliated under the North Island Brass Band’s Association’s registered rules, and that this society will give every consideration to tin' reinstallation of offending musicians. That; a copy of this resolution he forwarded to the Registrar Societies’ Solicitor and Press. ( Signed) Jack W. ATadden, Secretary.”
