BOWLING
Levin Bowling Club held their annual meeting on Monday night. it was decided to support the proposals of the Manawatu Centre regarding the holding of tournaments alternately in each of the Centres on this coast.
The Committee reported a very successful bowling year, during which the green was in an excellent condition, to which was attributed the good record established against some of the premier Dominion exponents of bowling. The Club’s properly had been further enhanced by the erection of a capacious pavilion, consisting of a locker-room, dining-room and kitchen, for which pm - ]lose £.10(1 was raised on a mortgage. The balance sheet showed a very .substantia] credit balance. The Club’s membership now totalled -10 financial members. The coinmil Ice recorded its appreciation ol I| le ladies' services in conducting the afternoon teas, with the result that the cluli’s funds were augmented by £lO- - following officers were elected. President, Mr. C. TI. Pyke; vice-president, Mr. L. Derham, Management Committee, Messrs. Suiian, Brown, Clements, Challies, and Sigiey; auditor, Alt’ F. G. Roe (re-elected) ; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr. J. Casey (re-elected); match committee, Messrs. J. D.
