RACING DATES.
APPROVED BY CONFERENCE. Wellington, July 10. In its report, to the New Zealand Racing Conference, the dates committee submitted the following list of. dates for the 1925-2(5 season for the adoption by the Conference. Waikato Hunt Club, October 20 (conditionally), Otaki Maori Racing Club September 19 and 21 (in lieu of September 25 and 20), Riverton Racing Club, October 21 and 22; Egniont—Wanganui Hunt Club, October 24 (conditionally). Banks Peninsula Racing Club, December 19 (in lieu of October 31 or November 21), South Canterbury Jockey Club, November 2ti and 28; Methven Racing Club, December 5, Taumaranui Racing Club December stli, Waipukurau Jockey Club December 26, Marton Jockey Club September 2 and 3, and January 1 and 2 (to race on the Feilding Jockey Club’s racecourse, owing to the Marton course being under re-construelion), Thames Jockey Club, January 14 and 1(5 (in lieu of January 9 and 14, or November 14 and 16), Nelson Jockey Club, March 5 and 6, Otautan Racing Club, March 17; Rangitikei Racing Club, March 24 and 25, Avondale Jockey Club, April 15 and 17 (in lieu of March 25, 27), Manawatu Racing Club, April 21 and 22 (in lieu of March 24 and 25), Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club, April 30 and May i (in lieu of April 2.3 and 24), Marlborough. Racing Club, May 7 and 8 (in lieu of April 30 and May 1), Wellington Racing Club, July 8 and 10 (in lieu of July 6, 8 and 10). It was recommended that Wellington be granted August 20 and 22, in view of visit of American Fleet, and that Wanganui he granted two extra days, subject to an agreement upon the constitution being arrived at between the racing and l rotting conferences.
The undermentioned clubs were refused extra licenses: —Bay of Islands, I)nnn;ovirke, (Carterton, Levin, Master-ton, Kumura and Manawatu. The committe approved the registration of the Feilding Polo (lull, Otamatea Racing Club, Otamaurt combined Sports Club and Waimarino Racing Club (condit ion ally). The registration of Amuri PoloClub. McKenzie Racing Club, Karnmen and Rongotea Sports Clubs were cancelled. It had been agreed that no further steps he taken towards amalgamation of certain e.lubs. The amalgamation of hunt clubs with certain racing clubs was still being considered by the clubs concerned. It was considered by the committee that a proposed change of con>fitution by any racing, trotting or hunt club should not he permitted, as no dissension should he allowed to arise between the governing bodies. The dates committee, desired in an altered constitution conference to elect' not more than seven and not less than five members annually. After discussion the report, was slightly amended and adopted. The date of the South -Canterbury meeting was altered from April 15 and 17 to April 29 and May 1 and the Amherly meeting from Mav 1 to Mav 8.
