POSSIBLE REARRANGEMENT
The Railway Department is at present ascertaining the views of.' people in I lie district served I>y what is popularly known as “Field’s express," whieli leaves Wellington aU 5.40 p.m. daily Cor Palmerston Xorlli. as jo whether an earlier lime of departure I'rom Wyllinglon would he more suitable, (says the Post).
Since the late 4.13 p.m. I rain from Wellington was discounted there is no train serving the Mannvatu district after the train whieli leaves the city at 8.55 a. m„ with the exception of the Napier express, whieli slops only at Otaki. The Department is inquiring whether it would he more convenient to those dependent upon the railway timetable in the Manawntu district if “Field's express" left Wellington at. an earlier hour than at present.
