A serious bent towards mischief in a boy living on the Main North Bond was revealed in a. letter to the Auckland Automobile Association. The boy had been observed to lay what appeared be a piece of paper on the road, but on running over it a motorist found that under it was a piece of board studded with nails, points up. It was said that the boy encouraged oilier boys at the Hangiriri school to place broken bottles on the road and boasted of having sold £ls worth of grapes to passing motorists. It was suggested that possibly he was contemplating opening a vulcanising shop during the off season for grapes.
