FOXTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

ANNUAL MEETING. Tile adjourned annual meeting of the above society was held in the Town Hall Rest Room last night, presided over by Rev. W, H. Walton (President). Also present were: —Messrs \Y. Xye, S. Perryman, S. H. Poole, D. Christie, M. E. Perreau, Jno. Ross, G. Tver, ('. H. Patterson, Mesdames Healey, Harr, P. Easton, and Misses J. Ross, A. Speirs and the secretary (Mrs Moore). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. McMurray, Murphy, .James Ross, and Mesdames Murphy, Baker and E. Procter. In his opening remarks the chairman said he was pleased to note that a little more enthusiasm had been evinced in the society since the adjournment of the annual meeting last week. At that meeting it had practically been decided that the society become defunct but the larger attendance at the meeting that night was a little more encouraging and he hoped the society would lie able to carry on and have a successful year. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron: Air A. S. Easton; President: Mr D. Christie; Vice-presi-dents: Messrs. \V. E. Barber, .T. Linklater, M.P., J Chrystall, E. M. Wyllie, F. C. and J. Robinson, M. E. Perreau, W. Ross, \V. Signal, A. Speirs, M. H. Walker, B. G. Gower and F Mason; Committee: Messrs. W. Xye, S. 11. Poole, Symons, Jno. Ross, James Ross, Murphy, Tver, Easton and Revs. Walton and Pen man and Mesdames McMurray, Healey, P. Easton, Murphy, Barr, flcasman, E. Procter, and Baker, and Misses J. Ross and A Speirs; treasurer: Mr. Tver; auditor: Mr 1). Ogilvy: secretary: Airs Aloorc (re-elected); collecting committee: Messrs. C. H. Symons, W. Xye and Mrs ArcAlurray and Aliss J. Ross. A vote of thanks was accorded the secretary (Mrs Moore) for her past efforts on behalf of the society. SHOW DATE. It was decided that the date of the next hull) show he set down as Friday, September 11th, 1925. Business of minor importance was discussed and the meeting terminated.
