A well-tiltended meeting of those interested in the Prohibition question. was addressed last evening in the Masonic llal-l hy .Miss Burls, ol Victoria. The chair was taken hy tin- Mayor, in his official capacity. For two hours the audience was thrilled by the lecturer’s lucid description of the exceptionally line petnics which were thrown on the screen. At the close of the meeting, on the motion of the Mayor, Miss Burls was accorded a hearty von- of thanks, and ALr J’ err can was accorded a similar compliment lor presiding. An cxlepded report of the lecture will appear in our next issue.
