HIGII COAIAHSSIONEIPS REPORT. The High Commissioner’s cable, dated lGth instant, reads: — Hemp: Manila, declined early this week, and J grade, June-August: shipments, sold at £44 10s, but closed firmer. J Grade, May-July and .Tune-August shipments, sold at -4(5 to £4(l 10s. New Zealand market dull and no business reported. Values of high-points Afay-July shipments £3O 10s. There is a buyer lor fair afloat at £34, hut sellers quote £34 10s. Stocks of New Zealand hemp in Great Britain on 30th April were 121 tons against 21 tons same time last year.
