BOROUGH COUNCIL.
At Monday night’s meeting of ihe Borough Council it was decided to continue the work of laying sewers. Decided to erect an electric lamp light in the Triangle to replace the old gas standard. Decided that notice boards be erected at the north and south entrances to Foxton bearing the wording “This way to Wellington via Foxton” and “This way to Palmerston North and Wanganui via Foxton.”
It was also resolved to renovate all street notice boards and tree
guards. A letter received from Constable Owen, complaining about the noise of the engine exhaust at the Town Hall was referred to the Town Hall Committee.
