OBITUARY.

MTLLTAM FRANCIS EDWARDS AGED 03 YEARS. An old and well-known identity in the person of Mr William Francis Edwards was found dead at his residence. Maroiiri, (liis morning. Deceased was last seen alive on Saturday afternoon, when he appeared to he in liis normal state of health. The late Mr Edwards hail for the past few years been in indilVereitl health. ITe was Imrn in England in 1802, and come to New Zealand thirty years ago. and lias since then resided in and around Foxton. Deceased was a single man, with a literary bent, and used to contribute poetry t.o the Canterbury Times. Tie loaves one sister I All's A. Parkin') and a nephew (Mr G. F. Edwards). An inquest into the circumstances surrounding liis death will be held in tin* Courthouse al 2 o’clock 10-HIOITOVV. The funeral will leave the .Methodist rlimvli at 2.30 o’clock.
