When in Foxton last week, Mr G. T. Wilson brought up the question oi: speeUiug; up the Koxton-Pal-merston N. train, and said his Department intended moving in this direction in the near future. It. is probable that a shunting engine, which at present leaves Palmerston N. each morning and shunts at Longburn, will proceed as far as Tiakitalvuna and clear the line of goods wagons, thus enabling the latter part of the EoxtonPalmerston N. run to be done in quicker time.
