Messrs. Levin & Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated 17th April, 1925. “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.,) Down Lambs 28/42’s 12d per Oh; best North Island 28/42’s, Hid per lb; ordinary North Island 28/42’s, Hid per lb; second quality Lambs 28/42's, Hid per lb; best North Island Wether Sheep 48/64’s, B§d per lb; best North Island Wether Sheep 64/72’s, 6?d per lb; ordinary North Island Wether slieep 48/64’s, 8-id per lb.; North Island Ewes 48/64’s, 6Jd per Jb; North Island Ewes 64/72’s, oifd per lb; New Zealand prime ox beef 160/220’s, none offering. As compared with las', week’s quotations, second lamb is .jd per lb. dearer, heavy wethers Jd per lb cheaper, light ewes jd per lb cheaper. There is hardening tendency on the market for lamb whilst mutton is dull with a downward tendency and poor demand.
