MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
TWO NOMINATIONS FOR MAYORALTY. THIRTEEN NOMINATIONS FOR COUNCIL. Nominations closed with the Returning Officer at noon yesterday for the Mayoralty, Council, Foxton Harbour Board and Horowhenua Electric Power Board. There were two nominations for the Mayoralty, thirteen, for the council, three for the Harbour Board and only one for . the Horowhenua Electric Power Board. Nominations are as follows : MAYORALTY. Ross being the only nomination for the position on the Horowhernia Electric Power Board, was ; declared re-elected. At last election* in April 1923 there were two aspirants to the Mayoral Chair and sixteen civic honours. There was no test for the Foxton Harbour Board - or Electric Power Board.
