OBITUARY.
WILT JAM JOSEPH XEYT.OX—AH ED 30 YEARS. (foul rihuted.) A sail gloom was cast over Foxfou and surrounding districts by (he sudden and unexpected death of William Joseph Xeylon, who passed peacefully away, in the Palmerston Xorih Hospital, on Sunday morniuyv last, at the early age of 30 \ears, fortified by the Rites of' the Ifoly Catholic Clmrch, Deceased was ail enthusiastie sport, lie was deputy-master of the Manawatu Hunt Club, a stevvaid of the Eoxton Racing Club, and a few years ago was one of Foxion's prominent fool bailers.
“Dill," as he was familiarly ealied, had endeared himself to everyone l»y-his genial and kindly dispo-sition—-even the litlK* children loved him.
Daring his last moments he was attended by Rev. Father Doolaghty. To his sorrowing mother, brother and sisters we extend our sincere sympathy in the great loss they have sustained, ami our earnest prayer is that the good (iod who sent the Cross will give them the grace and strength to hear it. Requiem .Mass was celebrated on Tuesday morning by Rev. Father McDermott.
The funeral, which took place in the afternoon from St. Mary’s Church for the cemetery, was the largest seen in Eoxton lor many years. As the cortege passed through the Main Street, most of the business premises were closed as a mark of respect for the deceased.
The floral tributes were so numerous that they were conveyed by special ear to the cemetery. The pail bearers were: Messrs Delany, Desmond, Bei'gin, W. Smith, 11. Robinson, \V. Kirkland. The chief mourners were mother, brother .John, sisters Xora, Annie and Gertie. Rev. Father .McDermott, assisted by Rev. Father Doolaghty, officiated at the graveside. R.I.P.
