The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day: The indications are for northerly winds strong to gale, and backing by north to west. Ihe weather appears likely to lie chanty and unsetlicd, with rain following. Barometer has a falling tendency. Seas rough, tides high swell in straits.
