VICTORIA NS v. HAWKE'S BAY. Napier, Last Night. The Victorian cricketers commenced a match to-day against Hawke’s Bay, in ideal. conditions, and on a good wicket. Hawke’s Bay won the toss, and elected to hat first, and when stumps were drawn the total stood at 404 for eight wickets. levin a. defeats motto a. Levin A. travelled to Moutoa on Saturday and defeated the local team by three wickets. Moutoa opened, and could only score 56, to which Madsen contributed 30 by good batting.
