IX BEST .INTERESTS OF DOMINION'. Christchurch, Lust Night, liie of the school age to sixteen years is recommended by the majority oi [hose who attended tiie conference whit Mr Frank Tate, Victorian Director of Education, held in Christchurch this month, and presided over by Sir •laines Parr, lhe full recommendation is as follows:—"This conference was opened by Sir Jas. Parr for the purpose of discussing post primary education in all its aspects, and after consideration and discussion, we desire to express our linn opinion that it would be in the best interests of this Dominion if tiie school leaving age for all children were raised to sixteen years, thus ensuring secondary education for all, with a higher standard of education intelligence."’
