INDIGNATION MEETING AT LEVIN.
* AGAINST NEW. RAILWAY TIME-TABLE. A largely attended meeting was held at Levin last night to express indignation at the treatment meted out hv the railway authorities in reference to tin* new time-table as il effected litis district. The Mayor (Mr Hobson) presided, and speeches were made by leading citizens. A comparison was drawn between the lime table operating on either side cl Palmerston North. A non stop run was made between Palim-rslon North and Wellington by both New Pismonth and Napier exprcssc-, while on the other side of Palmers lon North there was an average of a slop every liflccn miles. A further motion was put torward severely censuring the Minister of Railways, hut it was deemed advisable to hold it over pending lurther representations to the Railwav Board and Minister.
