ALessrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated the 10th March, 1925: The auctions opened here to-day with large attendance of buyers. As compared with the closing rates of the last sales, we quote: Greasy Merino, best 4d per lb lower; do., average, 4cl lower; fine Ilalfbreds, 50/56’s 3d lower; Ilalfbreds 48/ 50’s 2d lower; fine Crossbreds, 40/ 48’s lid lower; medium do., 44/ coarse, 40/44’s lid lower; low 30/40’s lid lower. The following prices are current for average farmer's lots: greasy Merinos, 27d to 31 <1 per lb; scoured do.. 4/8: greasy super Hallbreds, ;>!i’s 20(1 to 30d; do., line, 50/50’s, 2/i< 1 to 29d; do., Ilalfbreds, 48/50’s 23d (o 20d; do., line Crossbreds 46/48’s, 22d to 25d; do., medium, 44/40’s, 2ld to 24d: do., coarse, 40/44’s 2nd to 23d; do., low 30/40’s, lOd to 22d; do., Crossbred pieces 17d to 10d; do., Crossbred bellies 17d to 18d; do., Crossbred locks 10d to 12d. Fine Cross--I,reds and slipe wools generally not represented.”
