RE-OPENING OF SCHOOLS.
UXLIKELY TILL NEXT MONTH. OPINION OF MINISTER OF EDUCATION. Wellington, Last Night. Sir Christopher James Parr, Minister of Education, informed a reporter that he thought there was no prospect whatever o£ the schools re-opening before the end of this month. “Personally," said the Minister, “I don't see much chance of the schools opening before the end of ibis month. In looking at the position of the epidemic- tp-day, I should not care to take the responsibility of opening any school for some time yet. The educational authorities will be largely guided, of course, by the Health Department in regard to this matter, but this is Lire opinion of the educational authorities upon whom a large responsibility rests."
