March 2Sl!i: champion rinks, Palmerston green. Terrace End Club are holding a gala day on Saturday next, and want one rink from Foxton to take part in the afternoon and night play. A team from the Manawatu club endeavoured to wrest the Manson and Barr Cup from the Woodville holders on Saturday, but after a most exciting finish returned emptyhanded, lacking one point. The links were: Woodville: Horn, Lyon, Pickering, Mules (s); Manawatu: Shand, Hunter, Corbridge, Eckersley (s). This is the eighth successive win for the eup that Woodville has had.
The tinal match of the tourney for the Takaro Cup was played at Takaro Club on Saturday, when the home team defeated the Palmerston X. rink, 3S —13. The Takaro four were Morgan, Flint, Smith and Tantrum (s), while Palmerston X. was represented by Usrnar, Hogg, Stevens and Pickering (s).
