“STRANGERS OF THE NIGHT.” The latest picture produced by Fred Nibb will he heading the programme at the Town Hall Cabaret to-morrow evening. It is “Strangers of the Night,” an adaptation of one of the most popular stage plays of modern times. It is the story of how an eminently respectable modern young gentleman learnt of his dirty past in a surprisingly sensational way. Pirates and crooks both past and present have a big part in the adventurous one night enjoyed by the hero, Ambrose Appiejohn, played by Matt Moore. Other well-known players in the cast are Enid Bennett, Barbara La Man’ and Robert McKim. A two reel comedy, “That’s That,” and the latest Paramount News supply variety to a pleasing programme. Cabaret prices as us link “St Elmo,” a most widely read story, has been added to the list of successful pictures adapted from famous books. It is to be screened at the Town Hall on Saturday next, starring John Gilbert. ROYAL PICTURES. On Wednesday Peter B. A picture that has a novel twist that will keep you guessing from the very first scene to the unexpected climax.
