ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CLUB.

The minim] general meeting of lhe Foxton Association Football Chib was held in the Town Hall supper room on Tuesday night. The attendance was not as representative as it might have been, but the interest and enthusiasm shown by those present more than compensated for the small attendance. Unfortunately several of the most prominent supporters of the club were unable to attend and sent apologies. In the absence of the President (Mr A. 'N. Smith) Mr Winstanley was voted to lhe chair. The chairnnia briefly touched on the success of the club last, season and he considered the jirospects for the coming season were very favourable indeed. The balance-sheet was read and adopted, comments being expressd on the very favourable financial position of the club. The election of officers resulted: President: Mr McKnight; management committee: Messrs Smith, Starkie, Byne, Leaver and Winstanley; secretary: Mr J. Winslanley; captain: Mr Nixon; coach: Mr Travers. It was decided that the subscription of 5/- each for hon. members and 10/- for active members be decided on. The election of a selector was left in the hands of the management committee. RANGERS CLUB PREPARES. The annual meting of the Rangers’ Association football Club was held in Palmerston N. last .evening. The election of officers resulted: President: Mr J. Ellis; vice-presi-dents: Messrs J. Marshall, F. Needham, T. Kempson, D. F. Smillie and T. B. Arlidge; club captain: Mr A. Miller; secretary: (pro tern) Mr H. Wagstaffe; delegates to the Manawatu Football Association: Messrs J. Tantrum and A. Miller; selection committee: Messrs H. Wagstaffe and J. Marshall. It was decided that the club’s uniform be white shifts and black pants, as before, and that the subscription be 10/-.
