OBITUARY.
MRS C. 0. EASSON
An old resident of the Dominion, Mrs C. O. Easson, passed peacefully away early on Monday week last, at “The Vicarage,” Paeroa, in her 88th year. The late Mrs Easson came to New Zealand in 1879 with her husband and children. After a short residence in Dunedin, the family moved to Greymouth, where i])<>%• resided for many years. Some years after Mr Easson’s death, in 1892, Mrs Easson moved with her family to Wellington, where she resided up till a year ago. During her long life she had always been exceedingly active, and up to the last took a keen interest in all Dominion m airs and church work. The de ceased lady was laid to rest at O’Neill’s Point Cemetery, Bayswatcr, Auckland. She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Messrs .John Wallace Easson, Sydney, Percy G. Easson, Bayswater, Auckland; Mcsdames F. B. Dobson (Pae roa), Arthur E. Green (Hawke’s Bay, and late of Foxton), and Miss Easson (Wellington) and also by 14 grandchildren and two great-grand-children.
