TO HELP OUR FIREMEN.
Social to-night. The shop day, held in Moutoa Buildings on Saturday to assist in raising funds to pay the expenses of a local team of firemen to compete at Christchurch was a great success. To-night a social evening will be held in the Royal Theatre. Vocal and instrumental items will be interspersed with dancing and a real good time is assured the public. Mrs Hamer senr., who has been the organiser of the effort, informs us that she has met with a generous response from the public and will submit full details in next issue.
