FAILING TO DESTROY RABBITS
FARMEES CONVICTED AND PINED. Pive farmers were proceeded against at Lhe Peildmg Magistrate’s Court' on Thursday on charges alJeging that they had failed to carry out their obligatious under the Eabbn Nuisance Act. The prosecutions were conducted r by Mr W. McKay who had with him Inspector Sourness of the Apiti-Pohangina Eabbit Board. AH it. M. Watson, S.M., was on the Bench. William Thomas Pratt was lined £2O and costs. William J. Vile and George Duncan were each lined £o and costs and a case against Samuel B. S trail an was adjourned and the case against another farmer withdrawn as he had immediately complied with the requirements.
