PLUNKET SOCIETY.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Fox ton branch of the Plunßet Society was held in the Plunkel room on Monday afternoon, presided over by Mrs F. Robinson (president). Also present were Alesdames Ansi in-Johnston, McDonald, A. Ross, Walton, -Christie, Trueman, Downes, F. Proctor, ITynes. Ileusman and MeMurray (secretary). Mrs F. Robinson reported that, the Beach shop day was a success and handed over £(> Iv/(i as the result. A donation was received from Mr 11. Ilornblow. The shop day held in Fox (on realised .£!) 14/(i, the total amount raised by the f<&r groups lo date being £42 8/-.

The nurse's report for December showed that the nurse bad paid 3 visits to Fox ton, 32 adults had visited the office and 33 children and nine homes were visited. There were two new eases for the month. The 'committee wishes to thank Mi F. S. Easton for the free use of the shop in Main St.. Mr H. Osborne for carting gratis and Mr C. Lignins, of Kongotea for the use of his car shed for the big shop day. Mrs McAfurray was appointed Jiower steward for the month, and Mesdames ilcasman and MeMurray visit ors.
