A correspondent supplies the following to the Oainam Mail: —A rather amusing incident occurred on Thursday at Ngapara. A voting couple just returning from their honeymoon were passengers by tlm (>amu ni-Toknrahi motor bus. On
arriving'at Ngapara another .voting man, who was dressed very much like the bridegroom, was surprised by two ladies coining out of l!ie local store and thoroughly showering confetti over him while the young couple made, a quick retreat across the road. There was very hearty laughter from all sides when tlie ladies discovered their mistake. The young mail was heard to remark: “T wish to live a happy bachelor for a while yet, but the sensation was very nice.” A mad horse played havoc with a motor ear at Campbell’s Nugget Bay (says the Clutlia “Free Press'"). The motor car, which belonged to Dr. J. P. Shaw, of Mosgiel, who had been spending a holiday at Kaka Point, had been left in Campbell’s paddock, and the horse, it is supposed, had become insane as a result of eating tutu. The animal jumped all over the car. and badly damaged the mudguards, also the body of the car, which had subsequently to he to\q<id with horses to MeKeehnie’s Store, at Kaka Point. The liorso, which belonged to Air Milne, of Nugget Bay, bad to be destroyed. The incident was a most unusual one, and caused a lot of comment among the visitors and beach residents,-
