INFANTILE PARALYSIS.

There is every indication that the epidemic is on the wane in this district. The few patients in hospital are progressing very satisfactorily. Children under lti years of age are banned from' attending church services. Auckland health district yesterday experienced its worst day in the infantile paralysis epidemic, 3 deaths being reported, those of a boy aged 2 at ML Eden; a girl, aged 31 at Remnc-ra, and a girl aged 2 at the hospital Eight new eases were also notified. One case of infantile paralysis was reported at Wanganui yesterday, making 24 cases, with six deaths to date. The first case was admitted at the Tamil a ru.mi husphal yesterday, a girl aged 53 years. For altending a place of amusement a Ilawera a girl under the age of Iff years was convicted and discharged.
