FINE FOR SHOP LIFTER.
Christ church, January 28. Mary Janie Emerson, aged 61 years, charged this morning with shoplifting from Beath and Co., was fined £5, in default fourteen days, ihe police stated accused had probably stolen, to help her grandchildren who were nearly destitute.
