SERIOUS CHARGE.
Auckland, January 22. At the Police Court to-day Martha Jane O’Shaugnessy pleaded not guilty to a charge of unlawful use of an instrument on a girl of 19, and she was committed for trial. The young woman concerned said she had two visits to accused and was later admitted to hospital, where she remained for 11 days.
