S.M. COURT.
MONTHLY SITTING. The monthly sitting of the S.M. Court was held in the Court House yesterday morning, before Mr ,L__L. Stout, S.M. BY-LAW CASKS. For allowing stock to wander on the county roads tbe Manawatu County Council’s traffic inspector (Mr Berry) proceeded against the following:—A,. Groome, fined 15/with costs 11/-, J. Pot aka 5/-, costs 1-1/ ; It. Matthews 5/-, costs 14/-, B. Walls 15/-, costs 9/-, J. Coll inson 5/-, costs 9/-, J. King 5/-, costs !)/-, E. Aiden 10/-, costs 9/-. ILLEGALLY ON LICENSED PREMISES. For. being found illegally on the licensed premises of the Manawatu Hotel, 11. Walsh was fined £2 with costs 7/-. BREACHES OF AWARD. A. 0. Oliver and R. Bryant, for failing to close their butchery es tablishments at 4.30 p.m., as required by the Award, were each fined £5 with costs 7/-. Mr Bergin appeared for Mr Bryant. CIVIL CASES. • Judgment was given for plaintiff, bv default in the civil case A 7. McDowell v. C. Nelson, for 10/0 with costs 8/-. J UDGMENT SUMMONS. T. Murphy was ordered to pay D. W. Robertson and C'o. Ltd. £lO 1/3 forthwith, in default 14 days imprisonment. warrant suspended so long as defendant pays £1 per week, first payment on January 30th, of this month.
