Thomas H. Inee has taken an entiiely new departure from the realm ••1 the .■•usual" in his latest picture offering a film version of the stage play "Anna Christie." and released through First National. The triumphant screening of this drama, with i 1 h frank unfoldment of situations which would not. even have been whispered about a few years ago, registers one of the great triumphs of the developing artistry of the silversheet. On Monday night Betty Compson appears in a dual role, that of twin •sisters of widely different natures, one a quiet, relined girl, home loving and sensible and the other a wild, mischievous maid, whose search for excitement and disregard foi parental advice, leads her into innumerable complications. "The White Shadow" is a very tine production. "THE TROUBLE SHOOTER.” In a. career notable for good pictures, Tom Mix has done nothing more pleasing than his portrayal of "The Trouble Shooter,” which heads the bill at the Town Hall tonight. Mix plays the part of a wire repairman for a western power company. Baring scenes follow one another in rapid succession and the story is replete with humour and romance. In the east are Kathleen Key and Tony, the wonder horse. A laughable Sunshine Comedy and the latest World's News are other lilius on the programme to be offered at usual prices.
