CORRESPONDENCE.
(To The Editor.) Sir, —Can you tell me why some householders were compelled to link up their premises with the sewerage system and did so, while their neighbours are allowed to carry on under the old dirty and fly-breeding system? Why fish of one and foul of another? —Yours etc. HOUSEHOLDER, Sir, —Don’t you think it about lime that the Borough Council erected two or three public conveniences in the town. There cannot be any excuse now that the water system is laid on or except that some of our Councillors have not yet got beyond the lmsh settlement stage. I could mention some filthy happenings in Main St., alongside business premises which may have been prevon ted if conveniences were provided. 1 would also remind the Council that visitors come to the town and are inconvenienced and surprised at the want of public conveniences. Perhaps it would be a good move to pay the erpenses of one or two Councillors or the Majior to see what other towns have done. I noticed you printed some remarks from a visitor recently and I am surprised that he did not draw attention to this matter. I hope the new Council will be a little more pro-.r.'o-ivj-e.—Yours etc. CLEANLINESS.
