LOWER HUTT BURGLARY.

RAILWAY SAFE STOLEN. Early on Sunday morning (savs the “Post”) burglars entered the premises of the railway station at Lower Hutt and removed the safe which contained about £4O in cash. The theft was discovered when the stalionmaster went on duty at 9 a.m. and found the front door of the building open. A wheelbarrow belonging to the station’equipment was missing, and had apparently been used to carry the safe away. The barrow was discovered in a side' street near the river, not far from the station, and it is concluded that the safe was transferred to a motor vehicle and taken further.
