DROWNING FATALITIES.

Dunedin, December 28. R. A. Matthewson, sharebroker, of Dunedin, was drowned while surf bathing at Warrington this morning. Advice has been received from Naseby that two men named W. Hoare (farmer) and Joseph Allan aged 71, were returning from Waipiata sports on Friday, when their gig capsized in the Kyeburn river. Hoare hung on to the reins and was dragged to safety, but Allan was drowned. His body has not vet been found.
